    About Arian

Arian is the founder of NewVista Psychology, a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and a member of Psychological Association of Alberta (PAA). Arian has a BA from University of Calgary and MACP from Yorkville University. Her extensive years of experience in various organizations such as post-secondary institutes, non-profit, and private sector, has made her an inspiring, empowering, respectful and kind therapist.

She has over 10 years of experience in the field of counselling. She was fascinated by human behaviour and the human brain’s natural capacity to heal under the proper environment. She came to the field of counselling to help individuals and couples to learn, grow and heal in a therapeutic environment of unconditional positive acceptance to work through one’s fears and doubts in a non-judgemental environment. She believes in every individual’s uniqueness; hence, she takes the time to customize her assessment and treatment planning based on client’s individual needs; as she puts it, “one size doesn’t fit all”.

Arian has extensive training in trauma informed therapy and relationships, both in terms of individual therapy and couples/marital therapy. She is a trained EMDR therapist and has worked with First Responders, Veterans, and individuals with trauma/PTSD. She is trained in Gottman’s methods for couples and relationship therapy. She has successfully worked with couples and individuals with relationship concerns.
