Kari is a Registered Psychologist who works with individuals and families with concerns related to trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, stress & burnout, work related issues, interpersonal challenges, and more.

Kari strives to create a compassionate, non-judgmental counselling experience where everyone feels heard and understood. She places a strong emphasis on the therapist-client relationship, dedicating time to understand you holistically, and the many intersecting roles and identities you may hold. Kari will guide you to identify areas of strength and assess your struggles in order to support you in a way that aligns with your unique needs and circumstances.

Mental Health Concerns

Kari has completed EMDR training and often use this approach to help people heal from trauma and PTSD. She also draws on modalities such as DBT, Narrative Therapy, CBT, and attachment theory to support clients in addressing whatever issues they want to work on together.

When Kari isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family. She is a proud mom to a pair of wild and wonderful twins, and they definitely keep her on her toes. Kari is also an avid reader and loves to lose herself in a good book - fiction, non-fiction, anything goes! When weather allows, you can often find Kari exploring the parks and pathways around Calgary, and tending to her backyard vegetable garden.
