More About Carson

Outside of the therapy room, I'm a proud partner and father to a spirited toddler and a sweet baby girl — something that still feels surreal at times, especially given the hardships I’ve faced in the past, including time spent in an abusive relationship. These personal experiences have deeply shaped who I am and give me a strong sense of empathy and hope for others navigating their own challenges.

Before becoming a psychologist, I worked full time in the trades while pursuing my education. It was during this demanding period that I began to understand the role ADHD was playing in my life. Learning more about it helped me make sense of so many past struggles — and inspired my commitment to supporting others on similar paths.

My upbringing, which included a strong religious foundation, sparked a lifelong appreciation for the role spirituality can play in healing and growth. It also nurtured a deep curiosity about people, culture, and the meaning we make of our experiences.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family and friends, heading out to a metal show, or unwinding with a game of Magic: The Gathering or a session of Dungeons & Dragons. I’ve always loved the creativity and connection that come with storytelling and strategy games. I also have a deep love for the outdoors — having grown up surrounded by lakes and forests, I feel most grounded in nature. As my kids grow, I look forward to sharing those wild adventures with them, too.
