With over a decade of experience in the mental health field in a variety of roles - including extensive work with individuals involved in the justice system - Alecia bring a compassionate, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. Mental Health Concerns

Alecia works with people facing a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges. Some of the areas she often supports clients with include anger, depression, trauma (including PTSD and childhood trauma), and the effects of domestic violence or abuse. She also helps people build self-esteem and confidence, understand and manage their emotions, and navigate the complexities of personality-related challenges. Alecia also has knowledge, training, and experience in risk assessment related to individuals in conflict with the law.

Counselling Approaches

Alecia has completed training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and often utilizes these approaches in an individual's journey through trauma processing and navigating PTSD. Other modalities and approaches such as DBT, EFT, and attachment-based theories are often drawn on to address other difficulties that may arise throughout therapy.
