Brenda is a Registered Provisional Psychologist licensed to work with clients across Alberta. She supports adults and couples navigating grief and loss, end-of-life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and workplace burnout.

As a neurodiverse therapist with lived experience of ADHD, Autism, and mood-related challenges, she blends empathy with professional expertise to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and understood.

With more than 20 years in the aviation industry, Brenda understands the toll that stressful careers can take on mental health and relationships. Her holistic, person-centered style helps clients draw on their strengths to build confidence and meaningful change.

Mental Health Concerns

Brenda works with adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma & PTSD, grief and loss, relationship issues, self-esteem, emotion regulation, anger, stress, neurodiversity, and personality disorders. She also has a special interest in treatment-resistant depression and the therapeutic potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy, including ketamine.

As a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, Brenda provides gentle, evidence-based support for those facing end-of-life and bereavement challenges, helping clients find resilience and peace.

Brenda draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based, and Mindfulness-Based approaches. She also incorporates Person-Centered and Emotion-Focused modalities to tailor sessions to each client’s goals.

Her work is grounded in a biopsychosocial perspective and emphasizes collaboration, psychoeducation, and strength-based growth. Brenda aims to empower clients to make lasting, meaningful changes both within and beyond therapy.

Brenda believes that healing grows through authenticity, humour, and compassion. She is committed to de-stigmatizing mental health and helping clients feel safe bringing their whole selves into therapy.

Beyond her professional work, Brenda enjoys dog sports with her Pembroke Welsh Corgis Kevyn and Howard, relaxing with her mini-pig Jill, and exploring underwater worlds — she is an avid scuba diver who once spent a week diving with Great White sharks. An adoptee and kidney donor, she carries her life experiences into her work with warmth and gratitude.
