I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and aim to offer a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel seen and supported. Together, we can create a path forward toward a future that feels more aligned with your values and the life you want to build.

Before entering private practice, I worked in frontline social services within group homes and community agencies. Those experiences deepened my understanding of trauma, emotional pain, relationships, and the importance of meeting people with compassion and humility. They continue to shape how I show up as a therapist today.

I work with teens, adults and couples from a trauma-informed and attachment-focused lens, helping clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others. My approach is grounded in connection, collaboration, and humility. I believe that our behaviours are often adaptive and protective responses shaped by our experiences.

Mental Health Concerns

Together, we can work on managing day-to-day challenges like anxiety, overwhelm, depression, relationship difficulties, emotional burnout, and self-doubt, while also slowing things down to better understand what may be happening underneath the surface. I support clients who feel stuck, disconnected, emotionally exhausted, or caught in patterns that no longer serve them. My goal is to help you feel less alone, unburden what you’ve been carrying, and create space for healing, self-understanding, and hope.

Anxiety

Identify the root cause of your anxiety, develop resilience and learn to cope with your generalized anxiety, social anxiety, performance anxiety, OCD, panic attacks or phobias so you can lead a fulfilling life.

Depression

Identify, understand, and work through the experiences, thoughts, and feelings that are making you feel depressed and learn effective coping strategies to help you overcome them to live a happier life.

Childhood Trauma

If you have experienced trauma as a child, counselling can help you understand, process and heal from what has happened to you so that you can move on with confidence, strength and resilience.

Self Esteem

Reframe your thoughts and experiences to challenge the unhelpful beliefs that harm your self-image so that you can start to feel good about yourself and live your life with confidence and self-love.

Emotion Regulation

Develop the skills necessary to regulate your emotions by learning how to rethink situations to reduce anger or depression, identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patters, and be mindful to reduce anxiety and stress.

Intrusive Thoughts

Learn to recognize, challenge, and take control of unwanted intrusive thoughts, images, and feelings that negatively impact your day-to-day life.

Sleep Concerns

Sleep deprivation can have a significant impact on mental health. Understand the underlying causes of your issues and develop a routine to improve the quality of your sleep.

Couples Issues

Work together to get through rough patches, improve communication, nurture intimacy, rebuild trust, set boundaries, make parenting decisions, and handle separation or divorce constructively.

Parenting

Situations such as grief, divorce, or having differing perspectives can strain the relationship between a parent and their child. Learn to develop effective skills and coping mechanisms to help make your parenting experience more positive for both you and your child.

Workplace Issues

Develop the strength and resilience to cope with a variety of work issues including handling conflict, occupational stress, returning to work, employment leave, motivation issues and feeling stuck.

Conflict Resolution

Learn how to resolve conflicts in a healthy and productive way without compromising your own values, integrity, boundaries or self-respect so that everyone involved feels heard and respected.

Stress and Burnout

Learn to reduce your stress and prevent burn out by practicing mindfulness, implementing relaxation techniques, setting boundaries, doing things you enjoy and prioritizing self-care.

Codependency

Identify and change the patterns of behaviour that make it difficult for you to make decisions, ask for help, set boundaries, be alone, or stop yourself from feeling responsible for other people’s behaviours.

Grief and Loss

Grieve your loss at your pace in a caring and supportive environment as you move through the different stages of grief and begin to take the steps to move on from your loss and heal.

Indecisiveness

Develop the confidence to trust in yourself and be decisive in your actions without fear of making the wrong decision or for being judged for not making the right one.

Anger

Regain control in your life and learn how to control your anger by improving communication skills, expressing yourself in healthy ways, learning to relax, reframing your thoughts, and practicing gratitude.

Gender and Sexuality

Feel supported in a safe and accepting space for you to explore your sexuality and gender identity, process and heal from discrimination, and gain the strength to come out and be your authentic self.

Counselling Approaches

Claire primarily draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). These approaches can help you better understand your emotions, strengthen relationships, build coping skills, and develop self-compassion. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I pay close attention to your individuality — your pace, your needs, and your therapeutic goals — to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered in your healing journey.

More About Claire

Outside of therapy, I value connection, kindness, and slowing down enough to be present with the people and moments that matter most. I enjoy spending time outdoors — whether that’s walking by the river, exploring the mountains, or getting fresh air to reconnect with myself. I also value being a lifelong learner and believe there is always room for growth, reflection, and deeper understanding. I hope to help clients build greater self-trust and feel more connected to themselves along the way.
